About Us

Rashida Munir Welfare Foundation was founded out of love, loss, and a deep desire to honor the memory of our beloved parents, “Rashida Yasmin and Muhammad Munir”. Tragically, they left this world together in a fire incident caused by a gas leakage in Ramadan 2023 at native residence in Bharth, Sialkot. Their passing left an irreparable void in our lives, but it also ignited a passion within us to create something that would be a source of forgiveness and absolution for them. Rashida Munir Welfare Foundation is a testament to their love and sacrifice, and we hope that it will bring comfort and solace to their souls. Our mission at Rashida Munir Welfare Foundation is to carry forward the values of compassion, kindness, and generosity that our parents embodied. We aim to make a positive impact in the lives of those in need through various charitable initiatives, including the upliftment of schools in neglected areas, providing aid to the poor, conducting ration drives, provision of healthcare and basic amenities in marginalized areas. We believe that by serving humanity, we can find forgiveness and peace for our late parents.

Description of Our Logo (Feel, Love and Care)

Rashida Yasmin:

A devoted homemaker and philanthropist in her own kind, left an indelible mark on the lives of those around her. Born to Mian Muhammad Rashid Ahmad in Sialkot, she inherited a strong sense of compassion and empathy. Despite limited resources, Rashida Yasmin was always willing to lend a helping hand, providing food, water and shelter to those in need. Her kindness and generosity inspired many people, and her legacy continues to be a source of inspiration. She breathed her last on 27th of Ramadan (18 April) 2023 at Army Burn Centre Kharian and laid to rest in Rasheed Colony graveyard, Bharth, Sialkot.

Muhammad Munir:

As distinguished veteran of the Pakistan Army, dedicated twenty years of his life to serving the nation. After retiring as a Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) in 2006 from Army Service Corps (ASC), he continued to serve in various managerial roles till his death. Born to Haji Muhammad Shafi, he embodied the values of humanity, compassion, and selflessness, leaving a lasting impact on all those who knew him. His commitment to helping others and making a positive difference in his community serves as a testament to his remarkable character. He breathed his last on 23rd of Ramadan (14 April) 2023 at Army Burn Centre Kharian and is buried in Rasheed Colony graveyard, Bharth, Sialkot.

As the 5 sons and 4 daughter-in-laws of Rashida Yasmin and Muhammad Munir, we have come together to honor the legacy of our beloved parents. We have decided to pay tribute to their remarkable lives by establishing Rashida Munir Welfare Foundation, an NGO dedicated to continuing their selfless work. Through this organization, we aim to carry forward their values of compassion, kindness, and generosity, while also seeking forgiveness and absolution for their souls. We believe that this endeavor will not only keep their memories alive but also make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.
